Delta Authors on Tour
Book lovers and aspiring authors will engage in a fun, insightful discussion about literature, writing and publishing during the Delta Authors on Tour event hosted by the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority on Saturday, February 4, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Delta Authors on Tour began in 2010 as a platform for authors who are member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to promote literacy, provide information about writing and publishing and share their own literary works and journey.
Delta Authors on Tour is a key program under the sorority’s National Commission on Arts and Letters. The Mission of the Arts and Letters Committee is to promote a positive image of African Americans and other minorities through the medium of music, dance, drama, and poetry. Literature from featured authors will be available for purchase during this event. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to enhance community-based arts programming.
Delta Authors on Tour is free and open to the public. The event will be hosted by Angel Gaines and will take place at the Museum of African American Art, located at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 4005 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90008. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
